Client boot upgrade
If you have a KAON receiver, a Handan 5800 HD receiver or a TechniSat LCD TV, it may be necessary to upgrade the boot-code on the Client card.
- Remove the smartcard from the Master box
- Connect the Master box to the PC
- Download ‘SmartWi 2.39 T=0 NewBoot.swi’
- Insert the Client cards for 10 seconds.
Notes:
- When the boot-code has been upgraded, you cannot download firmware versions older than 2.09
- The new boot code only solves a start-up problem and has no influence on system stability.
- If you have the new SmartWi system, where there is a metal stand for the Master box, the new boot-code is already installed.
